"Flora" is a TouchDesigner project where I built a visual system that reacts very specifically to music. The goal was to make the connection between sound and picture feel intentional. The main problem I solved was making different parts of the music, like the kick, snare, beat etc. control different parts of the animation separately, so you could actually see how each sound changed the image.
In TouchDesigner, I carefully set it up so that the kick made the blobs grow, the snare changes color, and the beat slowly changed the shapes. I built the system step-by-step, testing it with different songs and tweaking it until it felt just right. Working on this project showed me how much math is involved. Every sound gets broken down into raw numbers, and fine-tuning the system means constantly adjusting those values to get the right visual feel.

n the end, "Flora" works as its own visual instrument. When you play the audio track, the blobs on screen bloom and move to the sound. I learned that the secret to good audio-reactive art is also about math. This project was a great addition to my portfolio because it shows I can make sound and visuals work together.
