My Role
Sound Designer, Video Editor, and Motion Graphics Designer
Programs used
After Effects & Adobe Audition
Our goal was to produce a fast-paced, high-energy promotional video for the e-sports team Paper Rex, highlighting their journey at the Valorant Champions Paris event for their social media audience. The primary challenges were curating quality B-roll from lengthy tournament broadcasts and establishing an efficient collaborative workflow for our team, which had differing creative visions and the technical limitation of sharing single After Effects files.
Our plan was to make the video look and feel like Valorant and Paper Rex's fast, exciting game play. I was in charge of the motion graphics and sound, making things like titles and transitions that fit the team's brand. We found our footage from e-sports channels and stock video sites, then color-corrected it all to match. To work well as a team, we set up a clear schedule to pass files back and forth and met often to stay on the same page. We kept improving the video by listening to feedback from our group and our professor.
The final video delivered a polished, professional narrative that showed the team's story and strengthened their brand identity.
The project showed my skills in collaborative creative production, from asset management to integrating feedback, and showed how important is effective decision-making in such fast-paced environment.
